Those in Ribeira Brava always feel watched by a rock that borders the village, prompting the curiosity to climb up and see the village from above. This trail takes the hiker to its highest point. The trail begins at the terreiro, and the first kilometer is similar to the Main Trail, which also begins at the terreiro, then diverges with the beginning of the climb to Caramujo. Caramujo was once densely populated, but today it is merely a group of ruins visited mainly during the Holy Spirit festivities. The Caramujo trail crosses orchards and terraces once cultivated until beginning a long descent to Carvoeiros, where a fabulous view of the sea refreshes the senses. From Carvoeiros, the trail continues to Queimadas, where it intersects again with the Main Trail that takes us to Ribeira Brava.
